(Quote) from Media Education Foundation “If you think U.S. news has a liberal bias, this assumption-shattering film from Noam Chomsky, Edward Herman, and Justin Lewis will have you thinking again. Making the common-sense case that mainstream news media are more committed to their bottom-line interests as large corporations than to left-wing advocacy, they dissect how news content gets shaped within a narrow, and ultimately conservative, institutional frame that marginalizes the progressive perspectives of a broad cross-section of the American public. The film, made before the rise of Fox News, has become only more relevant with time.”

"If you want to understand the way a system works, you look at its institutional structure. How it is organized, how it is controlled, how it is funded."
- Noam Chomsky

"The Mainstream media really represent elite interests, and what the propaganda model tries to do is stipulate a set of institutional variables, reflecting this elite power, that very powerfully influence the media."
- Edward Herman

Liberty-Pac: Personally I take it one step further than Chomsky. I believe -all- the for profit networks, CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, ETC.... (to varying degrees) slant their version of the story or truth, depending on the agenda being peddled. Public broadcasting isn't much better.  I've been un-plugged from the MSM or main stream media since 1997 and have no desire to tune in again.

(C4L) Stop The NSA Petition

“With his lawsuit against President Obama and the out-of-control NSA, along with his efforts inside Congress, Senator Paul is working hard to roll back the surveillance state.

But to successfully defend our Fourth Amendment rights, Campaign for Liberty must force Congress to act by pouring as much intense grassroots pressure as we can on Capitol Hill!

So please help Campaign for Liberty turn up the heat by signing the below “Stand with Rand on the NSA” petitions to your representative and senators.

After you sign your petitions, please make your most generous contribution right away!

Liberty-Pac: I have come to the realization over the past few years, a good many folks I chat politics with, have absolutely no idea how a bill or proposed piece of legislation becomes public law.  It seems everyone I talk with, focuses on the president as though he were some sort of King...who creates public policy and public law with the magical wave of the mace.  So I thought the below flow chart would help demonstrate the process, how a bill becomes a law.

Personally my primary focus during an election cycle is casting a vote for Ohio State Representative and US. Representative. Ohio State Senate and US. Senate. After all these people and the lobbyists who ride their coat-tails are the primary architects and crafters of *all* legislation that eventually becomes state and united states public law.

Note: When the citizenry are actually doing their job, and holding their Representative and Senators feet to the fire, even the most ridiculous pieces of legislation will never make it to the presidents desk. And that's my 2 cents worth.
