COLUMBUS—Libertarian candidate for Ohio governor Charlie Earl is pledging to campaign full speed ahead even though his opponent signed a bill last week in an attempt to ban Earl and all other Libertarians from the 2014 election.

“We will not back down and we will fight this,” said Earl of SB 193, passed by the Ohio General Assembly and signed by Gov. Kasich on Nov. 6 “My opponent John Kasich has shown he is not above using the government to assault his competition and we will show him we are above his tricks. Our Framers designed government to be a servant of the people, not as a mechanism for limiting their freedom of choice at the polling place.”

The John Kasich Re-Election Protection Act” has energized Charlie Earl’s campaign supporters and brought more attention to the cause of liberty than anything in a while,” said Bob Bridges, Earl’s campaign manager. “Liberty lovers—Libertarian, independent, Republican and Democratic alike—are coming to support Charlie in his race for governor by the droves. This has John Kasich shivering in his boots. Our current Governor is not just scared Charlie will split the vote but that he will be the first Libertarian governor of Ohio.

Earl discussed his plans for Ohio, the 2014 campaign Sunday on 10TVs Capitol Square program. Earl plans to demonstrate “Third-Party Muscle” In the Ohio Governor Race. Read about that appearance here.
